Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions on housewarmersuk.uk. The use of this site indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. The placement of an order also indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. We recommend that you read them carefully or print a copy for future reference.

We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any such changes will be deemed effective on the date these are posted on this web site and it is your responsibility to read these terms and conditions each time you use this web site and your continued use of this web site shall signify your acceptance to be bound by these latest terms and conditions

1. General

Terms such as “we” ”our” or ”us” refers to “Housewarmers Online” (part of A & G Plumbing (Tyne & Wear) Ltd t/a Housewarmers) Registered Company Number 04292597, a company registered in England and Wales. Terms such as “you” or ”your” refers to you as a user of this website. 

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. To order goods through this website you must be at least 18 years of age and accept delivery within the UK. We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these terms and conditions.

Any links from this site to other web sites have been included for your convenience only. However, the inclusion of a link does not imply that we endorse any responsibility for the linked site, its content or provider. Access to a linked site will be subject to that sites own terms and conditions to which you should refer.

2. Cancellations

Please note mail order, telephone and internet sales are covered by the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (UK Law Directive 97/7/EC), which protect you by providing a 7 working day cooling off period after the day after the product has been delivered. A customer has the option to cancel any order between the time of placing it and 7 working days after delivery. Cancellations must be in writing by post or by email to us. We will always try to pay refunds within 14 working days of the cancellation or the goods being returned safely (whichever is the later). The goods should be unmarked, free from blemishes of any kind and should not have been previously fitted, installed or used. They must be returned to us in a saleable condition in its original packaging. The cost of returning the item to us is the customers responsibility.

In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or error in pricing information, taxes or duty changes, we shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders listed at the incorrect price whether or not the order has been confirmed. If you have already been charged and we subsequently cancel your order, we will issue a full refund.

All products and services are subject to availability from our supplier and may be withdrawn at any time. If we do not supply the goods for any reason we will not charge you for these and we will refund any money already paid for them. However, we will not be responsible for compensating you for any other losses you may suffer if we do not supply the goods. 

3. Description of Goods

The descriptions given for all products on our website are believed to be accurate to the best of our knowledge. All drawings, descriptions and specifications are merely for the purpose of providing you with approximate information about the goods before you make a purchase. We would recommend you check specific technical details of products with the manufacturer if in doubt.

Technical specifications and details are subject to upgrade or change at the manufacturer’s discretion. We supply products as supplied to us from the manufacturer. Marble, granite and limestone are natural products that were created in the ground over millions of years ago. It is therefore natural to expect variations in shading, veining and finish. In some materials, imperfections, “pitting” and even fossils can be apparent; these are in no way considered faults and are part of the natural beauty of marble, granite and limestone.

Recommended retail prices (RRP) quoted is based on average high street prices.

4. Payment and Price

The total price payable for the goods will be stipulated at the time when you place your order whether or not the order has been confirmed. We are entitled to make adjustments to the price to take account of any increase in our supplier’s prices, or the imposition of any taxes or duties, or if due to an error or omission the price published for the goods is wrong whether or not the order has been confirmed. We will inform you of the correct price and give you the opportunity to cancel the order.

5. Delivery 

Delivery of our products to is available to UK Mainland address only. We reserve the right to refuse the supply of goods at our discretion ordered by you to be delivered to any particular addresses.

All prices on our website are inclusive of delivery charges to most UK Mainland addresses. Delivery is free for most UK Mainland addresses. 

Delivery of stock items will normally be made within 3-5 working days from cleared funds. Most fires and stoves are delivered within 3-5 working days, fireplaces and electric suites are delivered within 7-14 working days. Special orders or goods made to a customer’s specification can take up to 28 working days. We will endeavour to deliver goods within the times stated but goods are subject to availability and delay in delivery of goods is sometimes outside our control. Any dates we specify for the delivery of the goods are approximate only and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges, or expenses caused by any delay for delivery of the goods.

Goods will be delivered on the date chosen; delivery times are Monday to Friday only.

If we or our suppliers are temporarily out of stock, we will notify you of this position and you should allow up to 14 days for dispatch of the goods. For delays of more than 14 days, you will have the right to cancel the order and we will refund any money paid by you for the goods.

Please make provision to assist the delivery driver when ordering large products on a pallet or if you live in a flat where there are stairs involved to deliver to your premises. 

We strongly recommend that you do not book fitters for your appliances until you have received and inspected your goods.

As soon as we have delivered the goods to your door you will be responsible for them. We will only deliver goods to the address on the order and goods will not be left without a signature. From the time of delivery of the goods, any loss or damage to the goods shall be at your own risk. Any transit damage to the goods, shortages or incorrect goods supplied must be noted on the delivery consignment note at the time of delivery.

Please note if you delay in accepting the goods, our delivery responsibility for everything other than any damage due to negligence will end on the date the carrier tried to deliver the goods to you. The carrier shall be entitled to hold the goods in storage and to charge you the reasonable costs of such storage and insurance which you will be liable to pay to them. You may also be liable for an additional delivery charge caused by these events in the re-delivery of the goods for a second time.

6. Installation

It is your responsibility to ensure you choose the correct product for your needs. The buyer is also responsible for storage and installation of any purchases. All gas appliances must be installed by a GAS SAFE REGISTER registered and suitably qualified gas engineer. You can find a local engineer on the GAS SAFE REGISTER website www.gassaferegister.co.uk alternatively we can offer you a fitting service in the Tyne and Wear area at an additional cost. 

When working with electrical appliances you should always consult an appropriate professional electrician. Always read and follow any relevant manuals and safety instructions. When working with electricity always turn off the mains supply.

7. Damages or Incorrect Goods

If goods arrive in a damaged condition you must make a note on the carrier’s delivery consignment note and it will be your responsibility to inform us within 24 hours from delivery.

It is also your responsibility to sign for the correct number of packages as shown on the carrier’s delivery consignment note. Any shortages must be noted on the consignment note and it will be your responsibility to notify us within 24 hours from delivery.

In-Correct Goods: It is your responsibility to notify us of any in-correct goods supplied within 24 hours from delivery.

Non-Deliveries: We will not accept liability for goods lost in transit unless we are notified within 7 days from the expected delivery date.
